How much are dues and can I afford them?
Dues rates are based on annual income and so should be within reach for most members.
I can’t afford a huge annual dues payment right now!
Dues can be paid in one lump sum annually or you can sign up for monthly recurring payments. For most employees at Ball State, monthly dues will be around the cost of a streaming service subscription.
Even the monthly payment is out of my reach…
The BSU chapter has some money to support membership fees for those experiencing hardship. Please contact the Steering Committee for more information about these opportunities.
Why should I become a member?
What are the member benefits and responsibilities?
BSU AAUP Chapter Benefits & Expectations
While all members of the BSU community can attend our monthly chapter meetings, socials, and other public events, only dues paying members can serve on the steering committee, work on a subcommittee, and vote on resolutions and in elections. Dues paying members also gain access to our Discord so they can communicate about things impacting BSU in real time. By joining the national AAUP as a BSU faculty member, graduate student, or professional staff person, you automatically become a member of the BSU Chapter and the Indiana Conference.
